Each year the members of the Academy Committee will examine posts made in the various high IQ forums, and decide which post/poster should be their nomination.  During the Quickening period, nominations are collected for each category, and in the event of a tie, a vote is cast by the members to obtain a clear winner.

The function of the Quickening process is one of clarity and is wholly democratic.

THE CATEGORIES:   The WSFAA Annual Bard Awards(c)  are limited to nine categories of excellence. 1. Best Poster of the Year (our highest award) 2. Best Scientific Poster 3. Best Female Poster 4. Best Male Poster 5. Best Humorous Poster 6. Best Philosophical Poster 7. Best Poetical Poster 8. Best Creative Writing Poster 9. Best Polemical Poster
